We are excited to have our students back in the building.
The first day of school will be August 31st. Sorry, there will not be a back to school event this year.
Kindergarten students will be testing the week of August 31st. Their first day of school will be September 8th. Testing is done by appointment.
The first two weeks of school (August 31 – September 11) will be minimum days. School will run from 8:30 to 12:30 each day. Breakfast will run from 8:00-8:25 and will be in the cafeteria.
We will be eating lunch in the classroom during the first two weeks. Students may bring a lunch from home, or they may purchase a grab and go school lunch.
During the week of September 8th, kindergarten students will be on an alternative schedule.
· All students in AM classes will attend school on the 8th and the 10th. Class will go from 8:30 to 10:30.
· All students in PM classes will attend school on the 9th and the 11th. Class will go from 8:30 to 10:30.
· Students in the full day class will attend every day that week from 8:30 to 12:30.
For the restart, we need your help and understanding with the following:
All students should be prepared to wear a mask at school. Please provide a mask for your student. All students and staff members will be required to wear masks at all times while in the building. Students will be able to remove them when they are outside and while eating lunch.
If your child is sick, DO NOT send them to school!
We will be social distancing as much as possible.
All drinking fountains will be turned off. Please send your student with a plastic water bottle. Please write their name on it. Do not fill it with anything other than water. They will be able to refill it in their classroom as needed.
We will be disinfecting all tables and desks at least daily and even more often as needed.
Students will not be sharing supplies.
Students will be asked to wash hands frequently.
Lunch will be in the cafeteria once we get back to our normal school schedule, but social distancing will be required. As a result, some students will be eating lunch earlier and some later.
All grades will have their own recess time.
We will have assigned seating for everything, including: lunch, classroom seating, reading groups, etc.
If we as parents, students and staff members can work together and do these things consistently, we should be able to keep our school safe and running normally. We do not want online school again, so let’s work as a team!
Thanks!
